Skyscanner
I always book flights using Skyscanner!
This is my go to app for finding cheap flights. You can find all sorts of flight deals if you look around.
My favourite ‘hack’ is to use the ‘anywhere’ function, remaining flexible with my dates and look for the cheapest months/days.
Another top tip – use the Incognito or private function on your browser so it doesn’t track your cookies (it keeps prices down!)
Expedia
great app for ‘onward flights’
I don’t use Expedia as much but it’s a great tool if you need a proof of an onward flight on your travels.
You see, Expedia have a 24 refund guarantee on your flight purchase.
So, you can book a flight through them on the day of travel, ‘prove’ you have an onward flight and then get a full refund. Easy peasy!
Plus, it’s another site where you can price compare flights.
My favourite hotel booking sites
I always book accommodation with Booking.com
Every time I try to use a different booking app, I always end up returning to Booking.
I’ve used it for over six years now and it never fails. I love it as I can book cheap accomodation on the fly! (Which I have needed to more than once).
My biggest tip would be to keep checking for price drops nearer your travel date!

When I first started travelling I stayed in Hostels all the time! It was a great way to connect with other travellers – especially when you travel solo.
Plus, it’s always nice to save money on accomodation so you have more budget for experiences and food (duh!).
